She attended internship in Pediatric Neuropsychology and Pediatric Psychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship to further specialize in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School.During her internship and fellowship at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Fischer developed expertise in neurodevelopment, including work conducting assessments on at-risk infants with rare diseases, as well as evaluations of children and adults with a wide range of medical issues. Following her fellowship, Dr. Fischer worked at the Fraser Center before joining GLNC.Dr. Fischer specializes in conducting individualized assessments with children and adolescents who display neurodevelopmental difficulties including: developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorder (LD), comorbid medical conditions, and social-emotional, mood and behavioral issues. Dr. Fischer’s philosophy regarding testing underscores the need to understand each individual child’s strengths and areas to improve. Consequently, Dr. Fischer works in tandem with parents and school systems to help ensure that children and adolescents receive appropriate programs to increase their success both at home and within the classroom. Dr. Fischer strives to understand patients within the context of their lives and to generate meaningful and individualized recommendations focused on optimizing their functioning and overall quality of life.

Dr. Pleiss is a licensed clinical psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with neurological, medical, developmental, and emotional/behavioral disorders. Dr. Pleiss completed her undergraduate studies at Bowdoin College, where she studied neuroscience and chemistry. She obtained her Master’s of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at Marquette University. Dr. Pleiss completed her clinical internship at the University of Minnesota Medical School where she trained in the Pediatric Neuropsychology and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Clinics. Following internship she went on to specialize in pediatric neuropsychology during a two-year fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Dr. Pleiss has received specialty training in pediatric neuropsychology, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Dr. Deling is a licensed clinical psychologist and pediatric psychologist. Dr. Deling obtained her Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Deling received specialized training in pediatric psychology, pediatric neuropsychology, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). She attended internship in Pediatric Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship to specialize in Pediatric Psychology and Pediatric Neuropsychology with an emphasis on early childhood assessment and intervention at the University of Michigan Health System.
Dr. Deling specializes in conducting individualized assessments with children and adolescents with a range of congenital and acquired conditions including: prematurity, craniosynostosis, prenatal teratogen exposure, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, cardiac conditions, chromosomal abnormalities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders (LD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In addition, she has experience conducting individualized assessments with children and adolescents with a range of social-emotional, mood, and behavioral issues. She also has clinical experience with pediatric psychology rotations in elimination disorders, behavioral feeding, and sleep disorders. Dr. Deling’s philosophy regarding assessment is to understand how each child learns best and to help parents/caregivers to use this information to optimize their child’s functioning. She seeks to work with a child’s team of parents, teachers, doctors, and other providers to help them develop successful programs and interventions across settings. Dr. Deling aims to meet a patient and their family where they are at to develop individualized recommendations with the goal of optimizing a client’s strengths and accommodating or improving areas of challenge.
